FUNTREK TOURS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FUNTREK TRAVELERS:
The following statements are to make you aware of necessary policies pertaining to FUNTREK TOURS, as well as clarifying a few basic booking policies
PAYMENT METHODS: We accept Cash, Mastercard, Visa, Money Order, Personal Cheques & Debit
DAY TOUR: Payments are due in full at time of booking and are non-refundable, but may be transferable. Some restrictions apply.
EXTENDED TOUR: U.S. tour prices are subject to change. For Cruise tours, $800.00 deposit is due at booking, balance due 4 months prior to departure. Cheques are to be made payable to Funtrek Tours.
Post-dated cheques are not accepted. You can reserve your tour in advance and pay later, or take advantage of our “Early Bird Specials”. This does not apply if you are booking less than a month out.
ASSIGNED SEATING: Funtrek applies assigned seating on a “first come, first serve” basis when reserving tour. If you are physically challenged, Funtrek will do their best to assign you with preferred seating.
MOTORCOACH RULES & REGULATIONS No smoking or Alcohol consumption on bus. No dogs allowed on bus unless it is a service animal. Remain seated while coach is in motion.
TOUR CANCELLATION: Funtrek reserves the right to cancel any tour that does not meet the minimum amount of 30 persons.
CANCELLATION COVERAGE – MOTORCOACH TOURS: If cancellation coverage is not purchased the following refund policy comes into effect:
More than 45 days prior to departure, full refunds are available.
* 44- 30 days prior to departure, 25% of tour cost per person in non-refundable. * 29 – 14 days prior to departure, 50% of tour cost per person in non-refundable.
* 13 – 8 days prior to departure, 75% of tour cost per person is non-refundable. * 7 days or less prior to departure, 100% of total tour cost per person is non-refundable.
INSURANCE: Full Comprehensive Insurance (trip cancellation, medical and baggage), Cancellation insurance (prior to departure), and Medical Insurance only, are available on all Funtrek Tours motorcoach overnight packages. Not applicable to day excursions. For details concerning coverage of existing health issues, benefits or exclusions, contact the TRAVEL INSURANCE directly.
We strongly advise that you purchase medical insurance if traveling out of the province.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: Hotels and rooms are selected because of their cleanliness, comfort and service. Prices quoted are per person based on double occupancy, unless otherwise stated. Persons requiring special services, or specific room requirements, should discuss their needs with Funtrek Tours so that arrangements, if possible, may be made with the hotelier.
These requirements are subject to availability and Funtrek Tours will not be held accountable if your requirements are not met.
NATURAL DISASTER: In the event of a natural disaster while a tour is in progress, Funtrek will only refund a portion of tour reimbursed by all parties involved.
BAGGAGE: Each person is allowed 1 suitcase to be handled throughout the tour. Passengers are responsible for carrying hand luggage, overnight bags, cameras, coats etc.
Funtrek Tours cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage to passenger’s articles.
TIPS AND TAXES: All meal and hotel gratuities, service charges and applicable taxes are included in the package price, unless otherwise stated.
Gratuities for the motorcoach driver, escort, and step-on guides are NOT included unless specified.
DOCUMENTATION: All passengers are responsible for carrying proper documentation while traveling. Passengers traveling to the USA by coach must have a valid Canadian passport, or Enhanced Drivers License. Non-Canadian citizens must confirm with Canadian or US Government offices for current documentation requirements. On our International tours, you will require a valid Passport.
A valid Canadian passport is compulsory when traveling outside of Canada.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Funtrek Tours reserves the right to cancel or alter a tour at its discretion. Should it become necessary for Funtrek to cancel, all monies would be refunded. Only book with a tour operator that displays the “TICO” logo. This guarantees your money is deposited in a Trust Account. Our TICO req #041 991 54
TOUR PRICING: Prices advertised are correct at the time of printing and are based on fixed costs. All prices are in Canadian dollars. These costs are dependent on fuel costs, taxes, exchange rates and other factors. Should these costs increase, Funtrek Tours reserves the right to increase the price. We pledge that once your tour is booked and paid in full, that price is fully guaranteed. Availability on all tours is limited; in order to ensure that you get the vacation you want, we recommend that you book as far in advance as possible, and perhaps where listed, save on “Early Bird Booking”. Funtrek Tours acts only as an agent in making arrangements for hotel, transportation, restaurants or any other services and do not assume any liability for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident or delay to person or property due to an act of default of any hotel, carriers, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the service included in tour. Further, no responsibilities are accepted for any damage or towing of parked cars, delays due to sickness, pilferage, labour dispute, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather or other causes beyond their personal control.
ESCORTS: All Funtrek tours are fully escorted (except for Casino line runs). Our escorts are volunteers. We ask that you be considerate and appreciative of their efforts to make your tour more enjoyable.
